The NELS Alumni “Deep Dive” event is targeted toward past participants serving in health and aging services executive roles.  The Deep Dive aims to increase, improve, and support the profession to attract talented future leaders by hearing the impact of the NELS Summits on the next generation of leaders, as well as ways to enhance the effectiveness of Summits and amplify the voice of emerging leaders.  Individuals that have attended the Summit hold positions in skilled nursing facilities, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, continuing care retirement communities, rehabilitation hospitals, home- and community-based services, and affiliated organizations across the country.
Over the course of the Deep Dive two days, participants will:
  • Discuss the impact of NELS Summits on emerging health and aging services executives, including work conducted by partner and sponsor organizations for the NELS Summits each year;
  • Meet with the 2019 cohort for networking and a new, innovative “best practices” session to discuss trends in health and aging services across the country;
  • Discover perspectives and key insights on how to further advance one’s career in health and aging services; and
  • Engage in discussions with other leaders in the field of health and aging services administration to advance an agenda of action to increase younger administrators entering the profession and enhancing the effectiveness of the NELS work each year.
